I visited Moraine Lake a few years back on a family trip. We were awe struck by the beauty of it. Unfortunately, all our hotels were planned out on that trip, and I couldn’t do a sunrise shot here. This year, I decided to take a detour and head up to Banff. Since I’m camping, I could pretty much go anywhere my mood struck me. I couldn’t get enough of the beauty. Every morning, before I head out of camp, I would say to myself, we’ll have to pack up and leave today. Then after seeing the lake, I would say: just one more day. That’s how I ended up at Moraine Lake for 4 days. Weather there is very unpredictable too. Less than 12 hours before this shot, it was hailing. Then it started to rain after I got done shooting, then sunny, then rain, then sunny, then rain…. All I can say is, I’m glad I had a good tent that doesn’t leak!
